Romantacide, a five piece band based on the diversity of music, has grown from four guys playing a talent show to a band that has rediscovered itself entirely. The addition of new frontman David Long in early 2007 established a new musical freedom that had never been known. Free from the duties of lead vocals, guitarist Tyler Schievelhud along with guitarist Chad Newby sit firmly at the core of the band’s sound. Following the exit of founding bassist Nick Saul in 2006, Greg Pickett stepped in to take over the low end, teamed with drummer Josh Wagner’s intriguing style yields the one-of-a-kind foundation Romantacide is so well known for. Going against the grain, the music evolves from beautiful haunting verses, to in-your-face choruses, all complimented by soaring vocal melodies that are beyond comparison. In a world of traditional “cookie cutter” radio rock, Romantacide truly is a breath of fresh air with one goal in mind: Help music lovers to understand and enjoy the differences in and of musical styles.
